March 14, 2017 – Universal Window and Door, a leading manufacturer of custom window solutions for historic restoration and commercial construction projects, announced today that the firm has recently hired additional sales, customer service, and manufacturing personnel. The award-winning manufacturer, which has provided historically accurate aluminum replacement windows for over 80 buildings listed on the National Historic Register, is experiencing unprecedented growth over the past two years, necessitating the hiring.
In recent months, Universal has added system engineer Edmund Uzar to oversee its IT operations; Elan Sinai and Joseph Zaino as estimators; and customer support specialist Carol Morrissey. In addition, the company has increased its manufacturing personnel by nearly 30 percent since 2015.

In addition, the energy efficiency achieved by using the aluminum replacement windows allows developers to achieve the coveted LEED ratings with their projects. As a result, the firm has partnered with industry leaders on award-winning projects such as the Ames Shovel Works, the Wilber School, the Bennett School and Loft Five50 (the former Malden Mills) in Lawrence, just to name a few.
